Well it’s not actually. Now if you swap England in for the other 3 then it makes sense. Even after all this and the English pull the UK out of the EU, they still won’t have full control over their own laws.

Say what?
North Ireland and Scotland voted to remain. Britain pushed the vote over the edge to leave. Now NI and Scots must leave due to Britain. Scotland has already stated it wants to break from the U.K. which is basically headed by Britain. Although I’d change one of the flags.

Firstly Scotland is a part of Britain. Yes those two voted to remain and how that spans out we will see but specifically I’m talking about the whole “another country telling us what to do”.
This is one of the incredibly rare cases where the English have essentially overruled the rest of the UK. Now this may sound odd but UK politics works in weird ways. Out of all four home nations all have had powers devolved to them apart from England.
This means they and only they can have a say on their matters. For example leaving the UK. The English don’t have this power. If the results were reversed, the other 3 nations could have a say as to whether or not England could become independent from the rest of the UK.
As I said UK politics are weird. It’s really weird for me because I’m in London and we voted overwhelming to remain and there is plenty of talk of becoming a city state now. I have no problem with this.

I interchanged England with Britain. Whoops. I’m tired I slept three hours due to this vote.

Yeah I stayed up all night and given the results I’m glad I did. Waking up to this news wouldn’t of been pleasant in the least.

It’s weird how national affiliation works... I have MacKenzie ancestry and of all the British Isles countries, relate most strongly to Scotland for some irrational reason. (I also have a Hopkins and Dalton in there.) And I actually feel vaguely angry about Brexit because of this. This from an American citizen who has never been there. Humans are weird.

The barman at my local pub here in California is Irish, and he was livid last night, in a jovial kind of way. I asked him, without wanting to step on toes, “so, I’m an American on the outside, but isn’t this a bad idea?” A Pikey reaction Irishman on a rant is quite a fucking thing.

Just because I don’t know much about British politics, sometime like to watch the world burn (not literally of course), and have no personal vested interest either way, I want to see N. Ireland, Scotland, Wales, and the Independant City-State of London secede from the UK and join the EU again.
I’m sure there are flaws with this plan, I just think it would be a bit ironic to watch the Brexit thing backfire like that.
